Pierre de Wet Chief Executive Officer; 1998 Pierre de Wet started his career at Anglo American Corporation’s Head Office. When an opportunity arose at a stock broking firm Huysamer Stals, Pierre was lured away and spent the next three years at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange gaining valuable experience in both the Equity and Capital markets. In 1992 he joined District Securities Bank in the capital market division, trading and broking capital market instruments, before co-founding PBT in 1998. Adrian Murray Louw Executive Financial Director Adrian Louw has worked as an independent consultant dealing with various South African corporate companies. Adrian managed Gensec’s foreign operations up until December 2003, after which he served as a Non-Executive Director of Wooltru Limited and then as an Executive Director after 1 July 2005. Adrian then became a Non-Executive Director of Trematon Capital Investments Limited, before joining PBT Group as the executive financial director in 2010. Ken Wood Executive Sales Director; 2001 Ken Wood has over 27 years experience in the ICT sector having gained extensive experience within all facets of the industry as a developer, analyst, designer, project and programme manager both as client and independent consultant. In 1996 Ken moved into the services business development arena joining a company called PQ Africa. His understanding and experience of the industry saw him accelerating quickly in this field and he was appointed by BCX as a Business Development Manager and soon after that promoted to Divisional Manager responsible for services sales throughout the Western Cape region. In 2002 Ken joined PBT Group as Sales Director, specialising in information management services. The sales division has grown from a regional sales office in the Western Cape to an international organisation covering Gauteng, Australia, United Kingdom., Middle East and several other African countries where the group is currently active. Nitesh Vallabh Executive Director; 2004 Nitesh joined PBT’s team of highly skilled professionals as a director in 2004 – bringing with him 12 years worth of telecommunications and ICT experience. Nitesh has had exposure at multiple levels of technical and business aspects and has worked on various large multi-million rand projects. He has also tutored as an associate lecturer at Open University (UK) / UNISA on their MBA program. Currently, Nitesh is part of the PBT Group’s management structure responsible for the Gauteng branch. Jason Kinnear Executive Technical Director: Africa/Middle East; 1999 Jason Kinnear is a database, data warehousing, BI and information delivery specialist who consults on design and implementation. Jason has extensive experience in data warehouse design and implementation, using Oracle and other data warehouse DBMSs in ETL design and implementation. Jason has a depth of experience in the telco field, both in fixed line and cellular operations, as well as solid experience in the insurance industry. Jason is currently the Technical Director of PBT Group for the Africa/Middle East region where he plays a key role as technical team leader for new technical developments and new business initiatives, as well as consults on and leads various data warehousing, BI and information delivery and exploitation projects. Elizna Read Executive HR/Operations Director; 2000 Elizna Reed joined PBT in an administrative position in 2000 and worked her way up the ranks, growing with the company into her current position as HR/Operations Director. Having been around since the company was only about 30 people strong, she has gained extensive knowledge of everything that makes PBT tick – from operations to human resources and sales. Her 3 years Psychology studies at UNISA have proven to be very valuable in understanding the IT industry, which is ultimately a people’s business. Michelle Baron-Williamson Executive Director; 2005 Michelle Baron-Williamson joined PBT in a business development role in 2005. She started her career as a programmer in 1995 where she spent the following 6 years developing software. Her technical experience and knowledge, coupled with a passion for a people-centric career set the stage for her diversification into the IT recruitment & account management spaces. Certified as a Meta NLP Practitioner in 2008, Michelle continues in her role of business development where her coaching training has proved to be valuable in establishing and maintaining relationships within PBT’s people focused business. Hermanus Christiaan Steyn Independent Non-Executive Chairman; 2010 Herman Steyn has been involved in the investment management industry since 1985, having held senior management positions in several established asset management companies. He began his investment management career when awarded a bursary from Old Mutual. After a period at Old Mutual, he co-founded an asset management company and in 1993, he started the first index tracker fund, the Composite Unit Trust, in South Africa. He later sold the unit trust management company to Investec, joining Investec Asset Management in 1995 where he established Investec Asset Management’s international fund management capability, setting up their fund structures in Dublin. In 1998 Herman and Guy Toms founded Prescient Investment Management, which specialises in quantitative investment management. Monty Kaplan Independent Non-Executive Director; 2010 Monty Kaplan was the previous Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cape of Good Hope Bank Limited, having previously been a Director of Spearhead Property Group Limited and Chairman of Ingenuity Property Investments Limited. Today, Monty is the chairman of Trematon Capital Investments Limited and Mazor Group Limited.
